Server 2016 - unable to install any updates

Hi - hope someone can help me out here. I went to install September patches on this server, but I note that it is still displaying August patches (which I hadn’t got round to installing yet) I tried installing the displayed August update – but it failed “Windows update could not be installed...

No its ok - we ended up having to restore the machine from backup to get it to work. You can shut down this thread.

I've attached updated CBS log showing some errors specifically "ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT" after attempting another CU update install

The sfcfix.exe tool did actually finish - I just had to press a key for it to move to the next screen. It found no errors. Please see attachment. sfc /scannow, dism and sfcfix all show no errors - so I am unsure why the update cannot be installed.
