OK I will. I am very curious as to what pointed you at KB3014406 as the culprit of blocking the "NetIO Legacy TDI Support Driver". That update was installed in 2014. Also have a lot of CBSpersist files ... is it safe to delete them? Thanks and I will attempt to install the windows updates.

Before I forget I used the hide updates for the updates that failed ... at some point can I restore these hidden updates?

Uninstalled KB3014406 and internet is back :) Rebooted twice and internet is OK. Checked event logs and there is an Event 7026 stating that tdx failed to load. Thought I would mention this since tdx has been part of this thread? What next? I started with not being able to update certain windows...

Rebooted ... no internet and NetIO Legacy ... Driver is code 24.

Just want to let you know that NetIO Legacy TDI Support Driver" is code 24 is back in Device Manager. I have applied the action from post #84 and awaiting next steps.

"NetIO Legacy TDI Support Driver" is code 24 is back in Device Manager. Uninstall and after reboot it is not present in DM. See attached files before and after NetIO Legacy TDI Support Driver uninstall.

Changed permissions in regedit and was able to import the reg files. Rebooted ... still no internet.

If I try to create a key under root it tells me that I do not have requisite permission to create a new key under root.

In my registry there is no key name = "LEGACY_TDX" in the path defined by 2.reg. Unsure if this causes the error?

1.reg was accepted but on 2.reg ... windows output dialog box .... Cannot import .... error accessing the registry
