yeah, that didn't fix it (I did restart my machine and cleared and rebuilt the index)

Um, yes. I changed it to index the drive in entirety (except Windows and ProgramFiles) as well as scan the file itself for its contents. That change was made a while back. (these were not caused by the command you had me run, just to be clear and the command didn't appear to change anything)

Well, the one it's happening on at the moment is UPlay. Which is really annoying since I have limited C: drive space, but I have a 2TB external drive practically empty.

I ran SFC when the issue started to occur and it said that there was no issues. I'll run it again just in case but I don't think there are any issues.

[SOLVED] Internet Explorer & Google Chrome not starting: faulting module path

it sounds dumb, but it's a legit question... have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling at least chrome? My brother has a similar issue once and reinstalling seemed to fix it.

Hi, so this issue actually occurs within all of my programs, so I think it has something to do with the protocol itself Whenever I click something that asks for a folder and it opens the "Browse for Folder" menu, this happens and no matter if I try to refresh it by F5, right click and refresh...
