well it's been 45 minutes and it's still validating, should it be taking this long ? Would it be best just reformat C:\ and start all over again ?

Yes it's a genuine copy of windows though ive never had to activate before.. The recovery disc came with the computer when i bought t new nearly 5 years ago. Ive just ran the fix for the service pack error code but service pack 1 has still failed to load giving the same error code. How to...
