Must admit I am concerned there are errors in the log? I'm not sure what they are? Was hoping you could confirm what they are re whether I should be concerned? Thanks Ray

[SOLVED] sfc /scannow found corrupt file but was unable to fix them

CBS.log seems to have a number of errors and failures? Had 8 MS security updates to apply. Applied 1 and the rest failed Restarted Applied 6 and 1 failed. Restarted. Applied last one ok. Seemed a bit unusual the failures. Thanks Ray

Thanks for your assistance. Hopefully the issues are narrowing down. I have been able to perform 188 Microsoft security updates last night!! BUT I appear to have issues with another 9 updates that have been found. They seem to start downloading but appear to fail at different stages...

I created the folder C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests and copied the file (note their was only one file in manifest folder within the packs.zip file) and ran SURT again but the same output appeared to exist in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log as previous: Thanks Ray...

There does not appear to be a C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests folder? I have the following folders under C:\Windows\Temp C:\Windows\Temp\History and C:\Windows\Temp\Temporary Internet Files I also have no other hidden folders under C:\Windows\Temp I did find other folders under...

Windows installation is 64 bit win 7 Home Premium. Note that I have note been able to apply SP1 to this computer, which appears to be part of the problem? I have attached the log file after after downloading and running the SURT? Thanks Ray
