Forgive my ignorance....Is it possible that I just download a different driver or should I change the hardware related to it ? And being a laptop, is it worth all the effort ? Regards, Arjun B

I was reading on some other forums regarding this stuttering sound. One of the sites suggested that I turn off my wireless adapter while playing any audio. And it worked like a charm. (they say it causes some sort of latency). But that means that I cant listen to music when my wireless adapter...

Yes, I have done that as well. But, it is fine just for some time and then again it starts with hiccups. By the way, what was the reason for those crashes (BSOD's)?

I re-installed the Atheros driver. Uninstalled Avira and installed Microsoft security essentials and my system has not crashed since then. But, there is some problem with the sound on my system. Any song I try to play starts playing as if it has hiccups. Any ideas why this is happening ?

I have avira antivirus free edition installed. What will I do without an antivirus ? I checked for an update for the wireless LAN driver but it seems that my driver is up to date. Any work around for this problem other than what you mentioned above ? Regards, Arjun B

When the s/m crashes, it only shows the stop code : C4 without any xxxx.sys. It showed earlier once as athr.sys but the BSOD's now do not show any .sys !!

I opened Reliability History. "It told me that the ZTE USB Modem FFF1 was preventing the computer from entering sleep state or something like that." The computer was being prevented to enter the hibernate/sleep mode. Any ideas......

Members, Of late, I have been facing the blue screenproblem. Though the computer starts up well later; after 10-12 hrs the computer crashes again. Other than regular updates of Windows, there has been no new software installation. I keep my laptop switched on as I am using it as a Wi-Fi hotspot...
