Dear Softwaremaniac Thank you for all your help on this. I ran into an issue with a containment folder that was created by Comodo when it was on my system and I ended up reinstalling Windows 7. I installed IE11 straightaway after Windows 7 before any updates and it worked, so it is resolved.
