It is not Kaspersky alone that some times has these problems. Most if not all the commercial "suites" try to do more than they need to make them standout from the crowd. Many also have extra features most users don't need too. You can probably...

My guess is someone at Malwarebytes figured out it was a false positive. I suspect if you uninstalled MB3.x and reinstalled MBAM 2.x it would work fine now too. But then if ain't broke, don't fix it and right now, it ain't broke! Thanks...

While Kaspersky is excellent at protecting systems, some users have reported it hogs resources. I might suggest you temporarily uninstall it, make sure Windows Defender is enabled (it should automatically) then run with that and see what...

About James M. Fisher
Hi! My name is James M. Fisher, and it was Corrine of Security Garden who brought these forums to my attention. I was getting tired of the Microsoft bashing that goes on in some forums, so I am glad to have signed up here.
Since my background is not in IT, my forte/focus is helping the home user deal with Windows questions and issues. I was originally nominated for the MVP award way back in October 2003 by James Eshelman, of aumha.org fame.
I got heavily involved in forum-based support back in the days of Win98/Win XP; less so with Windows 7/8 due to other things going on in my life at that time. Things have since settled down, so now I am looking to get more involved in Windows communities such as the one here at Sysnative.
