    Finally got on the user's computer today. Did a clean boot, ran CheckSUR and it came back clean. No errors found in the log. So while still under cleanboot, ran Windows update. No updates found, though no updates installed in the history...

    I can tell you I've never gotten a checksur.log file with how SUR fails (Spins for hours and then nothing.) I haven't done a clean boot yet, so I'll try that. May be a few days before I can get on the user's PC again. I'll be in touch.

    I'll give that a shot. Literally days. It's still scanning from 12/26. It will eventually come back with results, but that's insane.
