Okay, let's first agree on the approach, do you want to try using MCT to create a bootable USB or Rufus as I have suggested? Do note that MCT is official tool and has a better chance of working.
The setttings below are what I used, and I got the same message as before, about removing the USB blah blah. I'm not really sure what you are trying to get me to here, but it's not working and I'm simply going around in a circle.. I have not made any progress at all, and at this point, I'm getting quite frustrated. I can't even update my Bios, per the suggestion of xilolee.. I'm just going to leave my Bios alone for now, as I don't think it's causing me any sort of problems.

I thought you wanted to get your system upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10. Correct? That's what I'm trying to do. If you would like me to help you do something else, please let me know.
I'm here to help and alleviate your frustration.
Smart decision on the BIOS for now.

I'm trying to install the upgrade, AND figure out why Windows is crashing to begin with. It tends to crash, even being idle. I think for now, figure out why it's crashing. Fix that, and then try the upgrade while in Windows, and that should work at that point. I guess I should of been more clear with my first thread, and I aplogize for that.

I read that hitting Escape, gives you more options with the bootable USB. It did and these are the options it gave me. I tried to a repair, but it failed. I think that's because it's not a windows install file, it's only a upgrade ? I was able to finally update my BIOS, as it turned out. I didn't have the correct revision. I neeeded the LE version. Once I put that on USB and booted into bios, it updated easily. Thanks to EZ flash 2, it's quite simple to do. I'm now running the newest Bios availble for my Mobo.

Does it crash in any other scenario? Gaming/stress test? How old is the PSU?

It crashes at random. I can be gaming, running Sandbox Universe. Another thing that is odd, is I can't play a You Tube video for more than a few minutes on Chrome (Firefox has no issues with this), without the Computer locking up and having to do a hard reboot. The computer can be sitting idle for several hours, and just crash.. When I used a program called "WhoCrashed" The same error keeps showing up in the logs and that is "System Thread Exception Not Handled". I did some digging, and a few sites where pointing to a possible Graphics card issue. The thing is, it's kept up to date. I'm not running a older version of my drivers.. I can go days or weeks without a crash, as there does not seem to be any sort of pattern to it. It's been going on for well over a year now.

I had the exact same issue the other day. Are your RAM sticks matched (if you have more than one)? Have you run SFC /scannow to check the integrity of your system files?

Re: BSOD at 85% during Windows Update

This (SFC issues) has to be addressed, because this may be the cause to your update failing. Now onto the BSODs, have you run Memtest86 to test RAM? If not, could you do it? You should test them one stick at a time, or you can do pairs, but then you won't know which one and you will have to test again with just one of these two.

Follow these instructions: Test RAM With Memtest86+

This may be the case of incompatible modules, you should leave the same manufacturer (2 sticks) in your case and test.

Re: BSOD at 85% during Windows Update

I did a basic ram test with Windows and I came up clean. How long is the test, and it hands free ? As in, I can tell it what to do and then come back in a few hours and see the results ? I will run the test, just to rule out the ram. I'm not sure it's the problem, though I could be wrong. I could game for hours on end for days without a crash, and then somedays have 2 crashes in a single day.

Re: BSOD at 85% during Windows Update

Actually, it does everything on its own and it's very simple when you boot it up. You leave it runing for 7-8 passes (there's a column called PASS, and you check it). If there are errors, red lines will appear on the screen. If that happens, you may stop the test.
It is recommended to leave it running overnight as it does take quite a few hours to complete (unless it finds errors within a minute).

I just tried to boot from it, and it simply goes straight into windows, despite telling BIOS to boot from USB.

Try using Legacy Boot and disable Secure Boot. These can cause problems. If nothing helps, I suggest you take screenshots of your BIOS and post them for me.

No option to disable Secure Boot, and Legacy Boot is already enabled. I don't know why this isn't working, as Bios detects the USB but won't boot from it. Computer really doesn't like me today, and simply refuses to cooperate with me.

Re: BSOD at 85% during Windows Update

I finally got MemTest to boot. I downloaded the newest version, as the link you provided sends me to a pretty old version. The current version is 7.4. I also made sure to highlight the USB as bootable, even though I put it first in the boot order. These two steps worked and it loaded up. I'm taking a break from this. I will read any new replies, but I'm not going to do anything else today. Will run the test with two sticks of ram before I leave Sunday. Providing I still have some anti static bags laying around. If not, it will have to wait till I can get some, as I would want to protect the ram while the other set is being tested. It's a good thing, I know more about Computers and Windows etc, than the average person.

    Have a good night!

Just a quick question for you, and there is no hurry to reply as I will be out most of the Day. If the program finds errors, will it tell me what stick of ram and where it is, that has errors ?

Nope, you'll have to test them one by one. And you'll have to test in different slots to make sure the motherbord's RAM slot is not defective instead, which is rarer, but possible.

Re: BSOD at 85% during Windows Update

I have started the test. There doesn't seem to be a direct option to say hey let's start the ram test so I had to guess. There is a thing called Tess election but it talks about CPU and stuff. So I went to test selection and then manually went down and set it to 20 passes to make sure and I'm going to guess that is a ram test. Attached is a picture of what options were available to me.
