Yes, any errors are an indicator of bad RAM. I'd recommend running one stick at a time now, if you can.

    Hi -

Yes - the RAM stick is bad and needs to be replaced.

Your files show a single 2 GB RAM stick, but no manufacturer or part number is listed.

Did the system come with the 2 GB RAM stick? Or was it replaced at some point? Do you know the manufacturer of the RAM?

    Regards. . .

EDIT: Just saw your post, E-Peen. OP may have run jcgriff2 BSOD app with just 1 stick; not sure.

@ lazerspot11 - do you have more than 1 stick of RAM? If so, they do need to be tested seperately - 1 stick at a time; alternate the slots, then on to the next stick.

I don't really know the manufacturer of my ram but I think it is a DDR 2. I guess I will have to buy a new ram then. Thank you for helping me with this issue.

That's OK about the manufacturer. I only asked because if you purchased it recently, there may be a warranty.

Good luck with the new RAM. Thanks for working with us and providing timely information - very much appreciated.

You RAM may be good but would need a voltage bump or a timing change in BIOS. Did the RAM test bad in all slots?

If memtest is showing errors, then yes, your RAM is most likely having issues. Make sure to test each stick separately to ascertain which stick harbors the failed memory and then replace that one. If both show up issues, then either you've experienced the rare chance of both of them puttering out, or the more common issue would be that the RAM you have is incompatible with your motherboard or the motherboard itself is bad.
