Norton Internet Security/ N360 Removal

Remove Norton Internet Security using the Norton Removal Tool (NRT). 

NRT --> ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

1. Download the NRT; save to Desktop.  

2. Boot into SAFEMODE (NO Networking) - tap F8 key during boot-up.  

3. Go to Desktop, RIGHT-click on the NRT icon, select "Run as Administrator"

4. When complete - re-boot to allow the removal of boot and kernel mode drivers

5. Reset the Windows Firewall to its default settings –

Windows 7 START | type firewall.cpl into the Start Search box | select firewall.cpl above under "Programs" | top-left, select "Restore Defaults"

Vista START | type FirewallSettings.exe into the start search box | click on FirewallSettings.exe above under "Programs" | select "Advanced" tab | click on "Restore Defaults" | Click Apply, OK

6.Install MSE --> http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/
