Windows 10 VDI: Can't join to the domain because machine already exists in AD

Should I remove it first from AD, join the machine to the domain and then recreate in AD? What is the proper procedure when this error occurs?

I'm no expert in domains or AD but the answer to your question is yes. I had to do this at my work (Windows Server 2019) but it was a few years ago and since I don't do it every day, I can't recall the exact procedure.
