Volume 3 was the original Windows system disk. I added an SSD. I copied the windows system to the SSD almost a year ago. all was good so I recently reformatted volume 3 I thought you might have meant volume 2... no problem I also did volume 1:

I ran chkdsk on C: yesterday - no errors created restore point yesterday

I ran sfc /scannow - no errors I ran dism - no errors I downloaded a copy of Win 8.1.iso
